What is SingleKey ID?

SingleKey ID is a single sign on identity platform that allows you to access certain applications and websites from different brands with one single user name and password. SingleKey ID cannot access any personal information saved in your partner-specific accounts.

Why should I use SingleKey ID?

Having a SingleKey ID lets you log in to certain applications and websites from Siemens and its partner brands with one single user name and password. In other words, it gives you seamless access to certain areas after a login, such as online services, apps, devices, and product information and warranties.

What do I need to be aware of when creating a SingleKey ID?

If you already have an account with My Siemens or another partner brand that uses SingleKey ID, be sure to use the same email address when creating your SingleKey ID. Need support?

Do I have to create a new account with each partner brand?

You can use your SingleKey ID to log in to Siemens websites and Siemens apps, as well as websites and apps of partner brands. Your account with each partner only becomes active after you log in for the first time to their website or app with your SingleKey ID. You don't have to create a separate account with each partner. However, you might need to provide additional information in your profile with some partners to use certain services or apps.

Do I have to use the same email address for the new registration with SingleKey ID that I used for my My Siemens registration?

No, the idea is that you can login with the same email address to all your accounts. If the SKID email is equal to the account, this is done automatically.

You'll need to first create a separate SingleKey ID for each existing partner account. Then you can merge your different SingleKey IDs to create one new SingleKey ID.

After you registered once for a SingleKey ID, you will be asked if you have an old account registered. After clicking “Yes”, please add the E-Mail address associated with the old account. Once the E-Mail address has been submitted, you’ll receive a message in your inbox asking you to confirm the process. This link will remain active for five (5) days and can only be used once. When that’s been completed, the old account will be merged to your SingleKey ID account.

Can I use my SingleKey ID offline?

No, an internet connection is required to log in with your SingleKey ID.

Which features are provided by SingleKey ID? Which are provided by partners?

SingleKey ID is exclusively an identity platform that allows you to log in to websites and applications of many different brands, with one set of login credentials. All other features, content, services, etc. is provided by the participating brands and might differ based on availability and location.

What is the relationship between SingleKey ID and partner brands?

SingleKey ID is a service used by consumers to access online content and services provided by partner brands. For more information, please see the terms & conditions .

Can I use my SingleKey ID for the Home Connect app?

Yes, your SingleKey ID can be used to log in to the Home Connect app. To use certain Home Connect app functions, you first need to pair your compatible smart products with the app.

Do all offerings and product groups of partners use SingleKey ID?

Not necessarily. Certain partner websites, apps, online shops, and services might not use or not yet use SingleKey ID.

Accounts and settings

How do I create a SingleKey ID?

1. Create an account by clicking here .

2. Enter your email address, set a password and provide some personal information. Then you'll get an email with an activation link.

3. Click the activation link in the email to activate your SingleKey ID. Do so the same day or the link will expire.

4. Complete the process by logging in with your SingleKey ID credentials (email address and password).

5. You'll now be redirected to the app or website you originally came from.

How can I delete my SingleKey ID? What happens to my data stored by SingleKey ID, Siemens and partner brands when I delete it?

You can delete your SingleKey ID here . By deleting your SingleKey ID, a request to delete your account is sent to Siemens and any partner brands you've accessed with your SingleKey ID. This might cause the data in all your connected accounts to be lost. Depending on the app or website, this could include documents like warranty certificates and invoices, as well as smart home routines or smart device history data.

Before deleting your SingleKey ID, please backup or download all information you want to keep.

How can I change or reset my password?

Log in to the SingleKey ID website . Now go to the "My Profile" section and click "Change password".

How can I change my personal information?

Log in to the SingleKey ID website . Now go to the "My Profile" section where you can change your personal information. Some of your information might be hosted by a partner, and only accessible via the relevant partner website or app.

How can I change my email address?

Log in to the SingleKey ID website . Now go to the "My Profile" section and click "Change email address".

Can I divide my SingleKey ID into business and personal use?

Currently, you'll need to create two different SingleKey IDs, each with a different email address, to if you want one for business and one for personal use.

Troubleshooting

I forgot my password.

Go to the SingleKey ID login page and select "Forgot my password".

I can't log in with my SingleKey ID.

  • Please double-check the following: Make sure you entered your email address and password correctly.
  • Check your internet connection. On mobile, you need an internet connection with at least two signal bars and an EDGE connection (marked with an "E" on the reception bar).
  • Reset your password as a final option.

I need support for services, products and devices I access with my SingleKey ID.

Please contact or customer service of the corresponding partner brand.

I didn't receive a confirmation email after creating my SingleKey ID.

  • Wait at least 15 minutes to give our system enough time to send out the confirmation email.
  • Check your internet connection. On mobile, you need an internet connection with at least two signal bars and an EDGE connection (marked with an "E" on the reception bar).
  • Check the inbox of the email address you entered for new messages. Remember to check your SPAM or "unknown" folder.

I don't know which email address I used for my My Siemens account.

Before SingleKey ID launched, you received an email from My Siemens or a partner brand announcing the change. The email address to which this email was sent corresponds to your partner account. To ensure you can access your information in your partner account/s in the future, please use the very same email address to create your SingleKey ID. If you did not receive an email announcing the change or have deleted it, please contact the or the corresponding partner brand.

Legal and privacy

Where is my personal information stored and how is it secured?

Your SingleKey ID personal information is stored on secured servers in Europe. SingleKey ID does not store personal information collected and used by partner websites, apps, products, and services. Should you have questions about this data's storage and security, please contact the corresponding partner.

Is my personal information secured with SingleKey ID?

Your data is stored secured according to high regulative standards. SingleKey ID is fully compliant with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For more information, see our privacy policy .

Where can I see what personal information SingleKey ID has stored about me?

You can manage the personal information stored by SingleKey ID here .

However, SingleKey ID primarily hosts data related to your digital identity. To access and manage the data stored by partners that use SingleKey ID, visit the respective partner website or contact the partner's support channel.

Do all partners have access to my personal information?

Personal information in your partner accounts will not be transferred or shared among SingleKey ID partners. SingleKey ID exclusively provides users access to Siemens and partner brands' websites, apps, and services. SingleKey ID only shares your personal information with a partner after you sign in with that partner for the first time.

Will my business data be transferred to SingleKey ID?

No, information stored in your partner accounts (including business data) will not be transferred to SingleKey ID. SingleKey ID allows you to log in and get access to your account with Siemens and partner brands. It does not store any information in your respective accounts, including business data collected by the partner. In order to access your business data, log in to the corresponding accounts of the partner using SingleKey ID.
