The iF Design Award has been recognizing cutting-edge product design across the globe for over 70 years, receiving over 6,000 submission from 70 countries annually. Siemens and the iF Design Award share the common belief that form does not follow function. It is the working together of these two, in perfect unison, that leads to product design that impacts society. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Siemens Home Appliances continues to excell at these awards, picking up nine awards in one year and eight at another.

Siemens Home Appliances has once again been awarded one of the top German awards for design. Achieving double success thanks to the freeInduction Plus hob from Siemens, which was honored as “Winner” and the innovative iQ700 varioLift ceiling hood voted “Best of Best”.

Considered to be one of the world’s most distinguished design competitions, the German Design Council confirmed Siemens Home Appliances‘ superior design expertise with a total of four distinctions in 2020. In the category “Excellent Product Design – Kitchen”, the minimalist iQ700 induction hob with activeLight was awarded a “Gold”, the highest honor. An international jury of experts also placed three other Siemens home appliances in the “Winners” circle: the movable varioLift ceiling hood, the large-size, a cool premium built-in appliance series, and the handle-free iQ700 French Door fridge-freezer.

The Siemens iQ500 integrated design hood took home the top prize in the Product Design category at the 2022 Red Dot awards. This innovative built-in hob with integrated induction hood was recognised by the panel of judges for its “impressive functional quality” and “almost invisible integration into the kitchen interior”.
